Karibu started because we kept seeing world-class Ugandan tour operators struggle to reach the US and UK travel agents who would happily sell their trips — agents who couldn't find them either. The market for selling Africa is roughly 2,400 specialised agencies. Our operators didn't need a million leads. They needed the right 2,400, with verified emails, real decision-makers, and the context to walk in knowing what to say.
Most sales tools are built for US enterprise teams selling to other US enterprise teams. They assume Stripe, Salesforce, and a 9-to-5 in Mountain View. None of that helps a Ugandan operator who needs to pay in shillings, sends from a Gmail account on a 3G phone, and runs a 3-person business between gorilla treks. Karibu is the opposite end of that bet.
