Why this is the easy path
When a travel agent in Chicago opens your email and the From address says founder@safarisbymary.com, their brain reads “real person from a real safari company”. Sending from your own address is the single biggest lever on your reply rate.
Almost every business mailbox — a custom domain on cPanel, Namecheap Private Email, Titan, Zoho, even Gmail or Microsoft 365 — already speaks SMTP (for sending) and IMAP (for reading replies). Karibu connects over those two standards directly. No Google Cloud project, no app registration, no OAuth verification wait — just your email, your password, and a live connection test.
Before you start
You'll need:
- The business email address you want to send from (on your own domain if you have one)
- The password for that mailbox — or an app-password if 2-factor login is on
- Your provider name (cPanel / Namecheap / Titan / Zoho / Google / Microsoft) — Karibu fills in the servers
- You are the workspace owner (mailboxes are owner-only)
Step-by-step walkthrough
Tick each step as you go. Your progress is saved in this browser — you can close the tab and pick up later.
Everything happens inside Karibu — there is no external developer console to set up. The first card, Connect your business email, is the one you want (it's marked Recommended for most operators).
