Setup4 steps

The setup wizard, step by step

The setup wizard is four steps — mailbox, ideal client, goal, and voice. Finishing it arms Duma's first run. Here is what each step collects and what happens when you're done.

What the wizard sets up

When you first sign in you’re dropped into “Set up Duma, your AI sales agent” — a focused, four-step wizard. Its whole job is to collect the minimum Duma needs to start working: where to send from, who to reach, what to aim for, and how you sound. Your answers are saved as you go, so a refresh or re-login resumes exactly where you left off.

  1. Duma sends from your own mailbox, so replies land in your inbox and your domain builds its own reputation. Connect it here — webmail (SMTP/IMAP) is the quick path; Gmail and Outlook OAuth are available for native one-click sign-in.

What happens on finish

When you finish the last step, Karibu does four things in one go:

  • saves your ideal-client prompt as a standing drip search;
  • stores your vertical and voice samples on your company profile;
  • creates your active goal (goal type, monthly target, and daily drip);
  • queues Duma’s first overnight run, so contacts and drafts are ready by morning.

Then it sends you to your dashboard.

What it does NOT ask

The wizard deliberately does not ask you to hand Duma the keys. Your cold-opener dial starts at review and reply autopilot starts in its safe default, so the first thing Duma produces is drafts for you to approve — never autonomous sends. You raise those dials later, on purpose, once you’ve watched a few drafts.
