Search in plain English
Describe who you want, not keywords. “Luxury honeymoon planners on the US East Coast who sell $20k+ bespoke trips” works far better than a bag of tags. The more specific the description — region, trip type, agency size, price point — the more relevant the results, because each candidate is discovered from public sources and then verified before it reaches you.
Quota: how many you get
Contacts are quota-bounded so a single search can’t blow through your month. Two limits apply: a per-search cap and an absolute monthly cap. Your very first search ever includes a batch of free contacts — the “free contacts” promise. Current limits:

A search never delivers more than your monthly cap has left. Ask for more than the per-search cap and Karibu tells you to reduce or split the search rather than silently truncating.
Budget guards
Finding and enriching a contact costs real money upstream (discovery, verification, the multi-source brief). Karibu meters that spend so a runaway search can’t rack up cost: the quota above is the ceiling, and when you hit your monthly cap the search stops cleanly with a clear message rather than charging ahead.
